   MANDATE


         The Regional Vice Governor is mandated by law, particularly Republic Act No. 9054 to assist the Regional Governor in the exercise of the general supervision of local government units and in the implementation of the regional development plans and programs.  The Vie Governor also assists in dissemination of information, provides policy directions and implements other development plans and programs in collaboration with the Office of the Regional Governor as well as performs such other functions as may be provided by law or any duly constituted authorities.

 

 

FUNCTIONS


   *To assist the Regional Governor in the general supervision of local government units within the territorial jurisdiction of the ARMM.

   * To perform the duties, and to exercise the powers, of the Regional Governor in the absence of the latter for reasons provided by law.

     *To perform functions assigned to him by the Regional Governor or any duly constituted authorities.

* *To hold any cabinet position as may be given to him by the Regional Governor concurrent to his position as Regional Vice Governor.

* *To advice the Regional Governor, in his capacity as member of the Regional Economic Planning and Development Board (REPDB), on policy matters or regional development plans and programs.

   *To act as member of the Executive Council tasked to advise the Regional Governor in the governance of the region particularly on security issues, social concerns, and implementation of laws, policies, programs, and projects in the region, in addition to the multifarious activities incidental and/or pertinent thereto.
