Office on Special Concerns

FUNCTIONS OF OFFICE OF SPECIAL CONCERNS

 

1.       Coordinate all sectors clients of the office such: CSOs, MNLF, MILF, Traditional Leaders, Religious, Women, and Youth including the Indigenous Peoples.

 2.       Assess and evaluate the issues and concerns of the above sectors being  referred to the ORGV and recommend appropriate action

3.       May propose programs. Projects and activities for consideration

4.       Coordinate with the Concerned Agencies of ARMM for possible programs and Projects for each sector.

5.       Assist the above sectors in establishing links with concerned offices including foreign funding agencies

6.       Assist in the monitoring of programs and projects in the ARMM areas.

7.       Consolidate all the issues and concerns submitted by the field staff

8.       Submit periodic report to the OIC-Regional Vice Governor through her Chief of Staff

 

MNLF/MILF       

 

-          Conduct of Peace Forum (Central Committee, State Committees

-          Assist in the coordination with the law enforcement agencies for the maintenance of peace and order

 -          Assist in the preparation and submission of  proposal for possible programs, projects, and/or livelihood assistance

 -          Assist in the settlement of Fronts dispute

 -          Submit periodic report to the OIC-Regional Vice Governor through her Chief of Staff

 
  CSO

-          Conduct of CSO Assembly

 -          Monitor programs, projects and activities implementation in ARMM areas

 -          Assist in the preparation and submission of  proposal for possible programs, projects, and/or livelihood assistance

 -          Coordinate with the LCEs in the ARMM areas

 -          Submit periodic report to the OIC-Regional Vice Governor through her Chief of Staff

 

Religious

 -          Facilitate conduct of Interfaith Dialogue

 -          Facilitate conduct of Islamic Value Formation training

 -          Assist in the settlements of conflicts

 

Highlander/Lumad

 -          Assist in addressing the concerns of the indigenous people

 -          Assist in the settlement of conflicts

 

Women

-          Assist the women sector in coordinating  their social concerns to concerned agencies of the government

 -          Assist  the women sector in the celebration of the women’s month

 

Youth

-          Assist the youth in coordinating their concerns to appropriate agencies of the ARMM

 -          Facilitate acquisition of sports equipments such as balls, rings, etc.

 -          Facilitate conduct of Interfaith Dialogue

 -          Facilitate conduct of Islamic Value Formation training

 -          Assist in the settlements of conflicts
